An Island You Can Walk To
A fifteenth-century fishing village on its own islet, joined to the Montenegrin shore by a narrow causeway. The stone lanes, cottages and terracotta roofs are original. The whole island is the hotel.
The Adriatic, Two Ways
Beaches on either side of the causeway, and Villa Milocer along the shore in what was once a royal summer residence. The water is startlingly clear and the season runs long.
Cottages, and a Villa Across the Bay
The island holds carefully restored fifteenth-century stone cottages and opens seasonally. Villa Miločer, the grand residence on the mainland shore, runs year-round, surrounded on three sides by cedar, pine and olive.
Two Beaches and the Isthmus
The causeway divides two beaches, and the water on both sides is startlingly clear. Beyond, the Bay of Kotor, Budva old town, and a coastline that still has not been overrun.
