The King’s Guesthouse

Built in 1962 as the guest villa of King Norodom Sihanouk, on a road he cut through the forest to reach Angkor. Modernist curves, terrazzo and a courtyard pool, and only a small number of suites.

Angkor Before the Crowds

The temples are minutes away by remork, and the resort has the access and the hours to get you there before anyone else. Guides here are archaeologists and historians, not ticket-holders.

Twenty-Four Suites

Twenty-four suites in a 1960s New Khmer masterpiece, opening onto light-filled garden courtyards, many with private plunge pools. The circular dining room at its heart is the original.

Angkor, Privately

Private tours of Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon, timed to avoid everyone else, plus a Khmer village breakfast and cooking class. The guides are historians, and the remork ride there is part of it.
