Rainforest & Wild Coast

Manuel Antonio & Drake Bay

Two sides of wild Costa Rica. You begin at Manuel Antonio, where the rainforest runs right down to the Pacific and monkeys move through the trees above the beach. Then on to Drake Bay, on the Osa Peninsula, one of the wildest corners of the country, reached by boat, with Corcovado National Park and the Caño Island reserve just offshore. Nine nights, every transfer handled, the flight out of the Osa arranged. Gay-owned, and welcoming to all.

Good to Know

Before you go

When to go

December to April

The Osa rewards the dry months most: calm seas for the crossing into Drake Bay, blue Pacific days, and the rainforest at its most active for wildlife. Peak season here, and worth planning ahead.

Come in the green months, May, June or November, and you trade a few afternoon showers for emptier trails, lower rates, and the jungle at its greenest.

Getting there

A few hours from the US

Nonstop flights from many US hubs reach San José in just a few hours. From there we drive you to Manuel Antonio, then by boat into Drake Bay, and fly you back out to San José. You will need a valid passport, but no visa.

The Elevida difference

Handled end to end

Two San José nights, the Pacific drive, the Sierpe boat, the domestic flight, and every guided tour, all arranged. You arrive to meals, amenities, and the kind of details you only know to ask for once you have been.
